Bonjour, Je suis Grace Kipasa
I was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, left when I was 10 years old and I’ve lived in the U.S. for more than 20 years. I am a strategic senior human resource professional with extensive experience developing business-aligned HR initiatives that drive short-term and long-term impact while enriching company culture. I’ve demonstrated the ability to effectively partner with executive leaders and managers to influence employees toward the achievement of organizational goals with integrity, tenacity, and the standard of excellence to ensure quality results with a proven track record of credible leadership along with an approachable and consultative communication style.
When tragedy hits...
I began my speaking and consulting career as a result of my experiences. In wake up of a tragedy in 2012, when my younger brother passed away, and I was asked to share my experience in a small women group. Although I have always loved speaking, either as an MC at weddings or a Host for concerts in my communities, I never thought I will be talking about my experience of losing a loved and how to continue with life. Little did I know this tragedy knocked three times in my life in less than six years. I lost my father just a year after my youngest brother, and I lost another brother in 2018. As for me, this was the end.
La naissance
I could not understand why me, but something intentional and purposeful rose in my heart to where I asked God this question: “What should come out of this pain? I just don’t understand please help me!”
And there it happened: A cup of T.E.A was born: my non-profit organization to help women reach their goals through teaching, education and achievement. I was determined to become a better version of myself despite the pressures of life, and challenges brought in by work, church, and a business that was then near bankrupt.
My tenacity to see things through and dreams of a restored and vibrant life kept me going. My personal tragedy story, and my leadership skills during this crisis, became a platform for speaking and working with leaders and groups in a variety of sectors. I began talking to businesses, employee groups, faith communities, and women’s groups, as well as being featured as a keynote at many conferences, special events, motivational seminars and one on one coaching.
Resilience
I turned this new dream of sharing my story, and assisting fellow business leaders into a speaking and consulting business named Tehillah House. I now use my name as my brand and built an even more dynamic environment by sharing my experiences and working together with other business and community leaders. I also created a YouTube show called In Between, where I invite guests to talk about their in-between moments in life, in hopes of helping others. I continue to grow my nonprofit for women to manage my business, while I also share my passion and expertise through my speaking and consulting work.
An intentional speaker
As a speaker, I use humor and real-life case stories and business lessons from my own experience. I also speak of my struggles and victories in business and personal life. My goal is that we all realize the power we have to be able to recover and live an intentional life with renewed fulfilled dreams. I speak to a variety of audiences to motivate people to create a business vision, structure, and goals to reach beyond their comfort levels, and old thought patterns and live the life we know we are capable of living. With an abundance of stories and insight, my messages entertain, motivate, and enlighten the audience to create a life and business of desired results.
Passions
My passion lies in working with women, churches, small businesses, startups, as well as partnering with people to explore and utilize the desires and passions we know are inside of us. Also, to realize higher levels of success, energy, and contentment while reaching what we once thought were unattainable goals. My goal, desire, and passion is to provide/guide one to renewed energy to analyze their own life and business situations and look for improved methods of living life to the fullest; passionately and intentionally. My Name is Grace Kipasa, and I specialize in results!
